Parallels

Yes!  The parallels I draw between my microscopic issues and the galaxies abound leave me thirsty for self-discovery every single day.  That’s probably it, how I continue to carry on relentlessly.  I am discovering and rediscovering the significance of each and every flying anomaly, daily.  The perseverance and unconquerable will to do 4 sets of 10 instead of 3.  The gasp I take as I push off being interrupted by it dawning on me to stay slow and steady, and focus on those 3 sets that much more and forget the 4th, to save that energy for mastering my skillset, must exit my lungs soon or I’m going to faint.  Instant diagnostics of my achy knees, calloused hands and need to rehydrate keeps my mind too busy to agonize over things that bother me.

My legs are screaming, yes, but the vacuum cleaner of internal weariness and external influences trying to break me drowns that out.  Choose your downfall.  Are you tripping over spilled milk or are you seeing better ways to do things?  This morning I woke up comparing my struggling to advance my legs on a treadmill to mile markers passing me while I “semi-fantasize” myself panting for an extra breath running marathons.

I feel strong today.  I’ve noted that by focusing on myself more intently for once is paying off.  Let the graces of God brighten everybody’s horizon.  Wanting that for others too, I feel benefits me.  Having that goodwill no longer feels like the edge of a canyon I’m fearful of approaching.
Today I will focus on Triceps and Abs working out here at my house.  Bent over rows, push ups, maybe, getting assistance to plant my feet while I struggle to sit up to a 90…  I’m already short of breath.  Avoid distractions, place them on the shelf for later.

Yes, I believe scaling Mount Helena is going to be more exciting than halting to overcome a local speedbump.  The journey from ground level to peak will not be easy by any means but I would rather get in shape to overcome the impossible than wait for the yellow yield sign to turn green.  Put things into perspective, speed bumps are designed to have you check yourself, encourage introspectiveness.  Next time you can, try practicing half breaths.  Breathe in halfway, hold.  Release.  Try running in place.  As soon as the bell (horn of the car behind you) rings, you’re going to be off to the races.  See yourself gallop.  You’re picking up speed.  Your legs and stride looking a bit different shows the odds you’re overcoming just to be out there a bit.  Do what you can the best that you can!
