11.2 – Day One
This past Friday, I received my 24 Day Challenge to participate in the HEALTHIER YOU BY THANKSGIVING! Over the next few weeks my posts will be partly if not fully dedicated to following my journey through the challenge. I hope you took my advice and are ready to follow along with me and/or keep my posts on hand to do so when the time suits.
Reading through guides such as (https://www.advocare.com/140218553/24DayChallenge/) which you can access through www.IBKnutrition.com you’ll see the first “phase” of the challenge is called the CLEANSE PHASE.
ON TOP OF TRANSLATING THE GUIDE, I will be giving you recommended exercises and workouts to compliment your changing body type and ambition levels.

Today being Monday, is LEG DAY. PLAN OUT YOUR SESSIONS!
BOX SQUATS are how I start my leg days. A set or two with no additional weight are always a smart decision to get your body and your mind in sync and operating at the same gusto, FULL SPEED AHEAD!
(DON’T GET A BIG HEAD JUST YET, THE WEIGHTED VEST WON’T SLIDE ON AS EASILY!)
The layout of MY gym is convenient. Multiple sets of varying weight on both leg extensions and hamstring curls being done on the same piece of machinery that is placed right next to the squatting area always follows.
(DON’T BE AFRAID THE LEAN INTO YOUR REPS AND USE YOUR WHOLE BODY TO GET FULL EXTENSION)
Light weight sets to cool down after each exercise are a good idea too, if you have the time.
CALF EXTENSIONS for me include using both the seated calf machine AS WELL AS the free moving extension clamp. Make sure you’ve got your SPARK on hand people!
STEP UPS or Climbing EXERCISES USING BOXES AND ALIKE also fit in the routine. Warmer weather allows me to take advantage of the weight sled and ropes!
