Read the title of this week’s entry. Before going into and regurgitating scientifically backed research on the matter, I want to share my insights and feelings on the subject.
Stamina has to relate to the biological, output rate and durability statistics of each individual. There are tests we will go over later that you can try yourself to find out your personal stamina stats.
Perseverance, to us, is more important. Mental durability can and should enforce, reinforce and back everything that you do. You probably noticed last week’s article did not measure up to much of anything. let alone our routine articles. Not to mention the tardiness and delayed posting, things were just not clicking.
The gas tank being on E often means a simple energy jolt or protein bar might do the trick. A tired brain, that’s something different. Search through the archives to find more detailed information on energy levels and fatigue. A tired brain, heart and spirit will negatively influence output, let alone negatively impact your body’s receptiveness to pushing the limits.
Analogies already exist relating to the body running low on “fuel.” We are not even talking about your cleverness or astute brainpower. We are rying to wrap our hands around mental fatigue.
“Mental fatigue is a transient decrease in maximal cognitive performance resulting from prolonged periods of cognitive activity. It can manifest as somnolence, lethargy, or directed attention fatigue. Medically, fatigue is a non-specific symptom, which means that it has many possible causes.”
All we know is, to be maximizing the benefits of lifting and growing DAILY, your head HAS to be in it DAILY.
Coping strategies, new ways of handling certain difficulties are often very beneficial. To avoid future MENTAL FATIGUE, we have thought things over and if it’s possible we might be outlining future articles and topics on an embedded monthly calendar and making an effort to keep posts on the Facebook page related in some sense.
